How to Contribute

Making a contribution to the CFC is easy and rewarding. Nearly 2000 charities are represented in this year's CFC. Donors need only select the charities they would like to support and then determine the amount they would like to give to each charity.
Simply decide whether you would like to make an annual pledge via payroll deduction or a one-time gift via cash or check. Payroll deduction is popular with most federal employees because it enables donors to be more generous than they could be if they were to make a one-time gift.

Those donors who choose to contribute via payroll deduction have two options. They can either register to pledge on-line now or pledge cards are available at all federal worksites.  On-line donations may be distributed among up to thirty charities of the donor's choosing; pledge card donations may be distributed among up to five charities. 

All donors choosing cash or check need simply obtain a pledge card and then distribute the amount of their gift among up to five designated charities.

All gifts not designated to specific charities will be combined with all other non-designated gifts. These gifts will then be distributed to all charities receiving designations proportional to the amount of designations they received.
